George C. Hemingway III (Chip), AIA, LEED AP, Principal

Mr. Hemingway has designed large and small public facilities that are exhibit related and provide a connection to the natural world. George has successfully managed and sequenced the design and contract documents for the three North Carolina Aquarium expansions. Through the unique experience of creating buildings that also house living marine animals he has developed a deeper appreciation and understanding of the natural world. This understanding has strengthened his commitment to providing sustainable building designs. Through sustainable design, it his goal to provide not only creative solutions for the building’s visitors and users but also design buildings that more creatively work in harmony with the site’s natural forces.
